Consultants are eligible for Advanced Consultant Membership if they meet all of the following criteria.

In some exceptional circumstances applications may be considered on an individual basis from consultants who do not meet all of the following criteria, but who have equivalent credentials or experience of a different type which meets or exceeds the level of the following criteria.

To be eligible for Advanced Consultant Membership consultants must:

• be currently actively engaged in providing business and/or management consultancy;
• have appropriate business and/or management consultancy qualifications of at least the equivalent of university degree level;
• have at least 7 years of business and/or management consultancy experience;
• have provided business and/or management consultancy services to at least 20 recipients in the last 2 years;
• be able to provide verifiable references of the provision of business and/or management consultancy to at least 5 recipients in the last 12 months;
• have in place appropriate business and/or management consultancy service agreements with clients;
• be financially solvent and able to meet all financial commitments;
• have never been disqualified as a director, been subject to any disciplinary or regulatory proceedings resulting in an adverse decision or been declared bankrupt or insolvent;
• agree to abide by all standards, terms, conditions, rules, regulations, policies, procedures and guidelines that may be adopted at any time by the International Affiliation of Business Consultants; and
• meet other requirements that may be established from time to time by the International Affiliation of Business Consultants.

To be eligible for Master Consultant Membership consultants must:

• be currently actively engaged in providing business and/or management consultancy;
• have appropriate business and/or management consultancy qualifications of at least the equivalent of university post-graduate level;
• have at least 10 years of business and/or management consultancy experience;
• have provided business and/or management consultancy services to at least 20 recipients in the last 2 years;
• be able to provide verifiable references of the provision of business and/or management consultancy to at least 5 recipients in the last 12 months;
• have in place appropriate business and/or management consultancy service agreements with clients;
• be financially solvent and able to meet all financial commitments;
• have never been disqualified as a director, been subject to any disciplinary or regulatory proceedings resulting in an adverse decision or been declared bankrupt or insolvent;
